Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about MapList, plans, and how the board works.

What is MapList?
MapList lets you place lists on any image — floor plans, maps, photos, or diagrams. Each list is a marker on the image, so you can organize tasks and notes spatially instead of in a flat checklist.
Who is MapList for?
Anyone who thinks in space: facility managers marking rooms on a floor plan, event planners mapping vendor spots, photographers annotating locations, or teams coordinating work on a site diagram.
How do I get started?
Sign in with Google, create a project, and upload an image. Click anywhere on the image to add a list marker, then add items to that list. Pan and zoom to explore larger images.
What can I do on the free plan?
The free plan includes up to 3 projects, 10 markers per project, 50 list items per project, and 50 MB of total storage. It is enough to try MapList on a real project.
What do I get with Pro?
Pro raises limits significantly — up to 100 projects, 500 markers per project, 5,000 list items per project, and 5 GB of storage. See the Pricing page for current rates.
Can I move markers after placing them?
Yes. Markers can be dragged to a new position unless the board is locked. Use the lock toggle in the toolbar when you want to prevent accidental moves or new lists.
How do I rename a list quickly?
Double-click a marker label to rename it inline. Click outside the input or press Escape to finish. Renaming is disabled while the board is locked.
What image formats and sizes are supported?
MapList accepts common image formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF). Free accounts can upload images up to 10 MB; Pro accounts up to 25 MB. Very large images are resized to keep the board responsive.
How does billing work?
Upgrade from the Pricing page or your account settings. Subscriptions renew automatically through Stripe. You can manage payment methods, view invoices, or cancel anytime from the billing portal in account settings.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your workspace moves to the free plan limits. Your projects and data remain — you will not be able to exceed free-tier limits until you upgrade again or reduce usage.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Account settings includes a permanent delete option that removes your workspace, projects, and associated data. This cannot be undone.
